RANCHO CORDOVA, CA (MPG) - Dust off your jazz hands and warm up those vocal cords (for enthusiastic humming, of course), because the Rancho Cordova River City Concert Band is ready to dazzle audiences with its upcoming concert, “Showstoppers! A Musical Spectacular,” on Saturday, May 16 at 3 p.m.

The performance will take place at the Cordova Performing Arts Center, located at 2239 Chase Drive in Rancho Cordova, and best of all—admission is absolutely free. That’s right: Broadway-caliber excitement without the Broadway ticket price.

This lively, toe-tapping concert will feature unforgettable music from beloved stage and screen hits, including selections from “Phantom of the Opera,” “Hamilton,” “Wicked,” “Chicago,” “The Lion King” and more.

Vocalist Michelle Pavolva, vocalists from Golden State Performing Arts and dancers from Ignite Dance Academy will join the band to help bring the magic of Broadway to Rancho Cordova. 

Whether you're a lifelong musical theater fan or just someone who enjoys a good melody, this program promises something for everyone—big sounds, bold themes and plenty of musical magic.

But wait, there’s more! In addition to the musical excitement, attendees will have the chance to try their luck at a raffle packed with spectacular prizes. The grand prize? A luxury suite experience at a San Francisco Giants vs. Chicago Cubs game on Saturday, June 13, complete with 16 game tickets and four parking passes, valued between $3,000 and $4,000. 

Other raffle prizes include a $360 Pilates package to stretch, strengthen and show off your post-concert glow, a $180 rock climbing gym package for those ready to scale new heights and many more exciting surprises!

Raffle tickets are available now for $25 each and can be purchased from any band member (cash or check only), or at the concert itself.

Under the direction of its talented conductor, Tom Seaton, the Rancho Cordova River City Concert Band continues its tradition of bringing high-quality live music to the community. The band is a community-based, non-profit, volunteer-driven ensemble dedicated to bringing quality concert band music to the greater Sacramento area.
