SACRAMENTO REGION, CA (MPG) - In June, a total of six American River College (ARC) students each received a $2,000 scholarship from the Retired Teachers Scholarship Foundation, Inc. (RTSF) of the Sacramento Northeast Division 75 of the California Retired Teachers Association (CalRTA).

The recipients were recently applauded at a luncheon held at the North Ridge Country Club in Fair Oaks. The organization assists American River College students in fields such as teaching, healthcare and technical studies. Scholarship grants are funded by donations from members and awardees are selected by the American River College faculty.

“Support for ARC students is one of our most important projects,” said former San Juan school teacher and Co-President Patt White.

Said former Twin Rivers teacher and Co-President Edwina Minor, “Students of all ages experience challenges during their years at school and this is our way of helping future classroom teachers.”

The 2025 awardees are Inna Chupaida, Athena Ross-Allen, Adriane Christensen, Rokin Moghaddam, Marissa Diaz and Katelynn Hall.
